Grinding Process of Gypsum with HGM Powder Grinding Mill

Gypsum is a widely used industrial material and building material. To obtain high-quality gypsum powder, Clirik’s HGM series ultra-fine powder grinding mill is an ideal choice. The following is a detailed introduction to the grinding process of gypsum using this equipment:

Crushing: Large pieces of gypsum are first crushed by a hammer crusher or jaw crusher into small particles with a diameter of about 10-30mm.

Conveying and Feeding: The crushed gypsum particles are then conveyed by a bucket elevator to the storage hopper, and then uniformly and quantitatively fed into the main grinding chamber of the HGM ultra-fine powder grinding mill through a vibrating feeder and an inclined feed pipe.

Grinding: In the main grinding chamber, the motor drives the main shaft and turntable to rotate through a reducer. The turntable drives dozens of grinding rollers to roll in the grinding ring raceway through the edge of the roller pin. The gypsum particles are scattered to the periphery under the action of centrifugal force and fall into the grinding ring raceway. They are impacted, rolled, and ground by the grinding rollers, and processed into powder through multiple layers of grinding rings.

Classification: The high-pressure fan sucks in external air and brings the ground gypsum powder into the powder classifier. The rotating impeller in the classifier causes the coarse powder that does not meet the fineness requirements to fall back into the grinding chamber for re-grinding, while the qualified fine powder enters the cyclone collector along with the airflow.

Collection and Packaging: In the cyclone collector, the fine gypsum powder is separated from the air and falls to the bottom. It is then discharged through the discharge valve as the finished product. A small amount of fine dust enters the pulse dust collector along with the airflow. The dust adheres to the surface of the filter bags. The pulse valve controls the high-pressure airflow to instantly spray from the inside of the filter bags, causing the dust adhering to the bags to fall due to the sudden shaking of the bags. The collected fine powder is then transported by a conveyor for packaging.

Environmental Protection: The entire grinding process operates under a closed-loop system with positive and negative pressure. Equipped with a pulse dust collector, it ensures a clean and tidy production site.

The HGM series ultra-fine powder grinding mill is suitable for processing non-flammable and non-explosive brittle materials with a Mohs hardness of ≤6. The fineness of the finished product can be adjusted between 325-3000 mesh, and the output can reach 0.4-45 tons per hour, making it an ideal equipment for ultra-fine powder processing.
